This is very interesting although I don’t believe its a hard and fast rule.
I post daily and have noticed a steady increase in my number of indexed pages in Google.
Traffic has also increased alarmingly well.

I guess it would depend on the quality of content too.

High post frequency + High quality posting = Best results.

2 months before, I too did the same mistake in one of my blog. After then I have reduces the frequency and now it’s going great.

Kurt you’ve picked up on exactly what my main point is with this. There are way too many bloggers out there telling people the importance of posting every day. There are bloggers freaking over getting their daily post in. As far as I’m concernced you can post 50 times a day but without the backlinks in place it’s like pissing into the wind (as far as the SERPs go).

I was just saying “what the hell” are you talking about but then when I reached the part you said:

Then I agree perfectly with you. I;ll explain why. On my main blog Island Crisis, normally my content are indexed within minutes of posting. (Usually 3 to 5 posts per day) However during the last few weeks I am trying to set a new blog somewhere else (a celebrity site). That one does not have much or not even 2 backlinks lol.

What I noticed is that no matter how much I write on the new one, there is no VALUE for SERP. While the same thing if I write it on my main blog, it simply amazing result.

Even I advise new bloggers to not be in a hurry. I also started my brand new blog KillerBloggers. I am keeping the post one per week until it gets enough time to grow up. Then I’ll increase the amount of post.

I have noticed this too, posting less frequently works for me. I usually post 2-4 times a week then link building.

I’ve tried this in the past as well with mixed results.. Seems to really depends on the “spam threshold” of the particular site.. good sites, I have found will be fully indexed regardless of posting frequency while crap/splogs/aggregators are less likely to be fully indexed

I have about a 5 minute to indexing time on this blog as well. It can be a life saver sometimes

Well, on one of my blog all of my posts gets indexed within 5 minutes, so mostly it comes down to how often people are linking to you.

You do have a great point about why people should slow down with a new blog. A lot of people create a new blog, publishes several posts a day and then get bored since there comes no traffic. If they follow your advice and publish a post 2-4 times a week and then get links instead of writing.
