Don’t get your question? This has nothing to do with Adsense? But any type of link selling can result in a PR penalty if Google find out.

I had the same experience with you before, I did make some little income from TLA, but my PR gone. After these, I took off TLA and requested Google for reconsideration, I got back my PR. I'm not sure whether PR might affect SERPS, but I think it does, but just 10% out of overall. If you want to make your blog popular, PR is one of the important thing you should have, people might respect you if you have higher PR. This was what I saw from my blog, lol! Thanks for the post.i was using textlink ads but stopped since last year because it is against google TOS besides the income is never encouraging at all.I can never rik the future oif my website with few $$ form text link adverts .Never afterall I am not a spammer like John Chow... izu mou’s last blog post..Google Adsense-Getting Started
