This is why I hate going to the gym. I’m with you, for some reason the people working at the gym don’t give any respect unless you are wearing the standard gym outfit. Another thing I hate is that if you are not a body builder, the bulk guys at the gym give you looks the entire time. The bad part is, I am in pretty good shape and lift weight properly, but I still get looks. The only way to avoid it is to get a home gym I guess…

Oh no worries Paul, I know the feeling is bad, but if it consoles you let me tell you, that they get me off the car/bus to control me in the borders everytime I get from one state to another

When I was in college I had co-workers and customers suggest that I had an eating disorder and didn’t eat! I was tall and thin, but I always ate. A girl likes to hear that she’s skinny, but not to the point to where people imply you starve yourself. I’d leave that gym; you shouldn’t have to deal with attitude or explain your job, routine, or appearance.

Yeah I didn’t mention that I was also on quite a strict diet for the first 2 months Excercise alone is not the answer for most people.

Kush, normally I’d be the first to agree with you, screw them, the only thing that irkes (is that even a real word?) me is the fact I’m paying them a small fortune each month to look at me like I’m something they’ve just stood in. They could just fake a hello and then maybe not give me the shifties like I’m about to walk out the gym with a Powerplate up my shirt. Or just be treated like a customer, that’d be nice.

I miss the service in Vegas really bad.

hmm grats on the weight loss I tried going to the gym last year after 6 months of working out almost everyday i found my self getting fatter and fatter. The more I worked out the more I ate! too the point I went from a site 30 to a site 34! I stopped working out now and I'm a 32. But anyways back to your main topic if your current gym is giving you faces i suggest you complain and then leave. No one deserves that type of treatment. The gym I previously went to everyone was really nice and greeted people with smiles every time someone walk by.
