I noticed this for the first time yesterday. Looks like Google are test driving a new ad format for Adsense publishers. I was checking out one of my own sites when I noticed that one of the square ad blocks was showing extra links at the bottom. It looks like a link block has been added to the bottom of the 2 adverts that were in the content block. The links were for more general search terms, I’m assuming that clicking one of these would take you to the same sort of page as the standard link block does, a page full of Adsense adverts. Google is far too good to me to risk clicking on one of my own ads so I didn’t get the chance to find out for sure though.
Unfortunately I forgot to get a screen grab of this, I did see the same thing on a top banner ad as well so I’m sure I wasn’t just seeing things. Did anybody else notice these new combined ads?

Hi there,
|It is something they are testing since the beginning of August if i am not wrong, i did notice that too and saw many reported this (even before i notice those links on my ads). Many believe their income will improve with this new feature but no one has yet reported about increase in revenue.

I guess that just shows you how immune to Adsense ads you become when you’re a publisher! I only noticed because I was double checking the targetting on a page.
With Adsense reporting being so sparse I doubt we’ll ever know if they pay or not. Best guess would be if Google stick with them then they must work.
