This is one of those posts where I umm and ahh to myself before writing it. Do I really want to share this with the world? A little while back I didn’t and that’s why this has been sat in my drafts for so long, but I figure what the hell, the internet is a very big place and there are plenty of niches and traffic to go around. What I’m about to tell you about is in my opinion FAR AND AWAY the best link building tool I have ever used – a system that can change your fortunes online – it goes by the name of ConnectContent.
First of all a little bit of background. In my role as an SEO consultant I have had the fortune to use just about every way of garnering links from the web that you can think of. Including in these have been several paid systems that promise unbelievable results (remember Traffic Kahuna?) All have disappointed – when it came to improving rankings and traffic everything was a let down. The single best way of getting back links is to generate unique and useful content. However even this may not be enough, the internet is a huge place and it is very easy for even the best content to go unnoticed – especially when you are competing with people with big budgets to spend on buying links. Your content can disapear without trace.
What Is ConnectContent
All this was until I came across something called ConnectContent. A paid monthly service whose genius is in its simplicity. It simply allows webmasters to become AWARE of each others content. You sign in and from the control panel you have the opportunity to post your own pages (and what link text you’d like back), in return you’ll find a list of other webmasters pages and link text requests. People will pick up and include your links in their content, in return you include links in your content. THIS IS NOT A RECIPRICOL LINKING PROGRAM. Every single user is kept anonymous on the system, each link request contains no information as to who requested it or when it was requested. This is not a system deisgned to be exploited by people just plonking links in the sidebar, links should be included in context on pages containing relevant content. Essentially in my experience links from ConnectContent match Google’s requirements exactly. The beauty of this system is that you are only making other webmasters aware of what content you have whilst at the same time giving them a chance to show of theirs. No reciprocal linking between pages/sites no paid linking.
This all sounds very simple, and it is. The interface is a home coded job, no bells and whistles just very simple and clean. It could do with some refinement (especially the search as the membership grows) but to be fair as long as the system works it shouldn’t matter. Put it this way, I’d rather have a system that delivers great links but looks crap than a system that has had thousands spent on an interface that delivers jack all.
Why Is ConnectContent So Useful?
Back links are becoming more and more important when it comes to gaining authority and rank on the internet. Because of their importance they are also harder to get. If you are struggling to get rankings and in return good amounts of traffic chances are that it is your linking profile that is the problem. ConnectContent gives you the opportunity to gain one way in context back links from relevant websites (that have no connection to you). The biggest problem with starting a new website is getting that early recognition – in some niches all you need is 3-4 HIGH QUALITY relevant links to rank well and ConnectContent can give you this overnight.
My Results With ConnectContent
Honestly, hand on heart, my results have been nothing short of stunning. I have gained more high rank, top quality back links than with every other linking system I have tried put together. This has resulted in extra traffic – no doubt about it. Every single link I have gained has come from a good quality page and the link has been included as part of the body text. Webmasters know what webmasters need and the ConnectContent membership are genuinely top notch. You will not be getting flooded with links, but every single link will count.
How Much Does ConnectContent Cost?
This – this here now, this is the reason why I was reluctant about sharing this. As I have said in the past, I have tried systems that cost hundreds of dollars a month that have had no real affect. Connect Content only costs $12 a month! Twelve Dollars! I’ve had webmasters pay me 5 times that a month for a single link! To be fair to the owner of ConnectContent he only seems to charge at all to stop it becoming a free-for-all spammer’s haven and that’s why I want to make this plea to you. If you are going to do what I suggest and sign up with ConnectContent then please PLEASE only use the system in the way it was intended. Let me and other webmasters know about your content and what links you’d like but please also make sure that you join in by linking out as well. It is the quality of the links/membership that makes ConnectContent unique. If nothing else remember that linking out to relevant quality content does you no harm! If you’re the sort of lazy spammer that is only interested in dumping links please don’t sign up, on the other hand if you’re serious about making the most of the opportunities to make money online and understand the principles of “give and take”
then signing up with ConnectContent will be the best decision you make this year.
