I’ve Got Top Natural Rankings, Is AdWords Worth it?

June 11th, 2007 0 Comments

This is a question I see quite a lot. Is it really worth paying for traffic when you already rank well for your primary keyword targets? It all depends on a number of things, but in general if you are selling a product or service from your website then the answer is yes!

How Much Is Too Much To Pay For A Website?

April 24th, 2007 0 Comments

To most people this is going to appear like shooting yourself in the foot, but I believe I come from a school of business that is quite rare these days, I like to think of it as being honest. As far as I’m concerned there are a lot of “Web Design” companies out there trying to do what the dodgy garage mechanic has been getting away with for years! When you have a customer who is not entirely sure what they want, don’t understand what is involved then you can go down one of 2 routes, be honest and price according to the work involved (and maybe get some referral business) or secondly rip them off for everything you can because they wont know any better. If you’re looking for a new website but don’t know what’s involved I’m going to help you avoid the second type of “business”.

UK IT Contractors, Keeping HMRC Happy

April 18th, 2007 0 Comments

April 2007 brought into effect the new changes to the tax regulations that will have a major impact on the way contractors can be paid in the UK. Whilst this will bring with it hardships for many contractors, especially those within IR35, for those that fall outside out of the Governments IR35 regulations there is still hope. As a self employed contractor you owe it to yourself to find the best way of maximising your income whilst still satisfying HMRC.
