I suppose the clever thing to do would be to delete my last post and pretend that it never happened. That would be a bit dishonest though wouldn’t it? Why would I think of deleting it? Because it’s a bad idea, I’ve taken on the opinions of those that matter most to me and it’s simple really. The general consensus seems to be that if I was to make that guide I’d be letting my ego rule my brain. To show people how clever I am I’d be putting my living on the line. That’s not acceptable, it’s not me but the amount of nonsense in this niche has almost driven me to it. The clever thing would have been to speak to people before making that last post!
So this leaves me with a dilemma. If I’m not prepared to go that final step and show everything then why bother having a make money blog? If I’m not prepared to go down the “do this, do that” practical route then what I’m left with is a blog that ends up like 99% of the other MMO blogs out there, all hot air and no substance. That’s definitely not what I want. That’s why I’ve made the decision to call it a day in this niche – if I can’t do it properly then don’t do it at all.
Some cynical people will be thinking that this is where I go on to tell you that I’m putting the blog up for sale. It’s all yours for $1000, $5000 etc! Not a chance, I REALLY don’t need the money, I blogged about making money online because it’s something I know how to do and in knowing that I don’t really need a quick buck from selling an established website. Fact. If I could leave you with one tip (that relates to my recipe) it would be this:-
Google wants the web to reflect real life as close as possible. Two things count, authority and respect. You gain authority from your peers, you gain respect by……, and that’s part of the secret. That’s why I would never sell one of my aged domains. Put mediocre content on a respected domain and it will rank very well in the long term. Put excellent content on a new domain and you’ll likely struggle.
So all that’s left to say is that I wish you all (yes even those bastards ripping my content) the very best for the future and that the internet makes you all rich! The internet is still a baby compared to what it will eventually become. It has huge growth ahead of it and unlimited possibilities so never give up. The next website could be the one that makes you your millions!
I’ve got to vent. Is nobody else pissed off with these spammy, bullshit, internet marketing tool launches? Everybody and their freakin dog is pushing Keyword Elite 2 with promises of it being the best thing since sliced bread and yet NOBODY is using it to make money yet! I wonder if Chow, Cow etc etc have actually bought the sodding thing? I’ve just got 13 messages hit my inbox and I’m seriously pissed with the whole product already.
It’s the Community Shield today, I’m a massive Manchester United fan, so I’m a little bit on edge about it. Friendly my ass. Over the summer we’ve looked fairly good but that’s always seems to relate to a slow start in the league. Please please please don’t let the dirty blues beat us today. I don’t get nervous about much but I’m fearing the worst for this, COME ON UNITED!!!
Every now and then I get fed up with blogging, it usually comes down to one or 2 reasons but I guess over the years there have actually been quite a few. To be fair some of these points are specific to the make money online niche but they could relate to other areas where blogs are popular. I’ve decided to list my top 10 reasons for giving up blogging:-
I know quite a few of my readers are far more up to date with phone technology than I am (I drop by your blogs from time to time you know!) so I’m putting the shout out. I really want an unlocked iPhone 3GS but can’t find one anywhere online, anybody any ideas?
Am I missing something here, how come so many people are arriving on these fair shores interested in a PeerFly scam? Just for the record I haven’t seen anything that would suggest that they scrub excessively nor that they don’t pay. PeerFly paid me absolutely fine and on time without any problems whatsoever.
So what am I missing here, how are PeerFly scamming people?
NB – Peerfly staff do take notice of this post and its comments so if you want to slag them off anonymously and without foundation then you’ve come to the wrong place. I’m more than happy to leave all authentic comments up (good or bad) but if you’re going to come out with stuff like they banned your account for “no reason” then you’ve got to be prepared to back that up. Oh and spamming offers or generating fake leads isn’t “no reason”.
People moan about the BBC wasting money in the UK. But just then they go and put something awesome out like this from last nights Top Gear program. Watch the worlds 2 fastest road cars duke it out on the closed roads of Dubai, Saudi Arabia. The video has really helped me to make my mind up about which car I’ll be buying next when the Rover finally dies!
That’s it people, I’m of on my holidays. Two and a half weeks of not doing much except relaxing and waking up in a new port each day. I’m not sure how regular my updates will be (as if I have a schedule anyway) but rest assured I will have internet access at some point. I may even try some of this video blogging lark if I get the chance, but only if my pasty skin catches some colour, I do want to look the part! Oh and because I’ll be away I’m going to switch the RSS feed back to a full feed.
A Couple Of Thoughts To Leave You With
1. Yesterday my income was barely $1.00 eCPM in a niche where I’m paying (correction, was paying) over $2.00 a click. Me thinks that certain ad networks are now starting to take the piss (all in the name of the recession of course).
2. Why is the US dollar starting to slip against the British pound again? Every report to date has stated that the UK is in the worst possible position because of the credit crunch and yet even with huge amounts of quantative easing our currency is strengthening against the dollar? Why are people buying sterling? My guess is that the current UK government have shown that they are prepared to do ANYTHING for short term gain (and sod the long term consequences) and the markets have realised this. Strengthen, strengthen, strengthen, buy, buy, buy, ooops, total collapse of our economy. At least in America there is some notion of the medium to long term picture, short term pain for long term prosperity. I know where I’d rather be living at the moment.
