I’ve done absolutely no promotion at all in pushing the Shoemoney System as an affiliate. To be honest I can’t imagine that there is anybody out there who hasn’t heard about it already from any of 50 different sources. But just in case anybody isn’t aware, Jeremy will be launching the Shoemoney System tomorrow, it promises to up-the-bar for these types of “make money online” courses. The fact I’m interested in this after wasting hundreds of dollars on other courses says something (Yeah, that I’m a sucker!) The system itself is essentially a huge number of videos drip fed to you every few days that go in to massive detail about how Shoemoney makes money. This sort of “this is my screen” material is in my opinion far and away the best way of learning how to do this type of thing. On top of the videos I understand there will be access to Shoemoney Tools, an exclusive members only forum and $2500 worth of advertising credit (I’m not sure of this advertising credit is only if you open a new account with the system or if you can get it if you already have an Adwords, Facebook Advertising account etc) I’m not really that interested in the advertising credit, I’ve got money to burn on PPC if I’m feeling confident.
What has got me hooked on this is the chance to learn how Shoemoney is profiting from Facebook. My experiments with Facebook have been little more than a catalog of disasters, if I can get some insight on how to get things converting with Facebook it will be money well spent. The Shoemoney System isn’t going to be cheap, $197 a month is a fair chunk of cash that may see it appealing mainly to those who are already making some money online. On the other hand if it only gives a small insight into exactly what Shoemoney is doing on a day to day basis (it promises much more than that) then it’s got to be worth it.
If you’re interested in giving the Shoemoney System a go then you can find out more information here:-
Check Out The Shoemoney System – Now how’s that for an affiliate link? No cloaking, no disguise, no domain redirect, just a plain old link with my affiliate ID in it
Obviously if you follow that link and do sign up then I’ll profit from it. However, that makes no real difference to me, as long as I can get one of the places available I will be signing up for the Shoemoney System and more than likely writing on here how I’m finding it.

I registered carsforagrand.co.uk back in May. I have a large number of BANS based websites, a number of which are based on the format of “Something For Not Much”. Surely the only reason people use eBay is to look for something that is dirt cheap? If you’re looking for a profitable way of using BANS then you could do much worse than use this tactic

Just to let my RSS subscribers know that I’m still alive, well sort off! So much has been happening in the last month that I’ve found it impossible to concentrate on one thing long enough to put a post together. I know I don’t post much these days but I’m sure I could manage at least one good post every few weeks. So in classic ProBlogger stylee here is a brief “list post” of things I definitely will write about soon:-

Excuse the language, but what a shit tip of a year. If I never have another year like 2009 again I’ll be a very happy boy. But life goes on, the wheels keep turning and things change all the time, I’m really looking forward to 2010 and all that it brings. Just to make myself feel a bit better (after watching United get dumped out of the FA Cup by dirty Leeds) here are my top 3’s for 2009:-

Affiliates are getting a rough time at the moment, it seems that for our small cut we seem to take more than our fair share of the responsibility for what an advertiser is doing. I see being an affiliate as being a middle man, it’s like if one of my friends turned around to me and said “I heard you’re not happy with your bank, I bank with HSBC and they’re brilliant”. Does the fact that he works for HSBC influence MY decision? Not at all. What would influence my decision is the research I then go on to do about HSBC and whether or not they are worth switching to – what HSBC tell me on their website or in person would be the deal maker/breaker. You know what, at the end of the day my relationship will be with HSBC not my friend. If he bullshits me I’ll be sure to tell HSBC, “Such and such said I could get a free million pound overdraft and 4 free flights a year”. It’s up to them to deal with him. This is how I like to think of affiliate marketing but in the modern world it seems to be a changing.

Less than a day to go to present opening time, I’ve got a couple of very excited girlies in the house right now (Wife and daughter). Hope that everybody has the Christmas they want!

When it comes to my organic affiliate marketing efforts I prefer to stay away from the CPA networks. There are a number of reasons for this, perhaps the main one being the rolling nature of the offers they have. In a nicely managed PPC campaign it’s no issue to swap out offers, however when you are simply link dropping on your content pages it can be a real pain in the ass when an offer is dropped. Multiply this by 10,20,50 offers that you’re running and it becomes almost unmanageable. So I stick to affiliate programs directly run by the seller. This also has it’s downsides, besides minor problems like having to organise my numerous affiliate account logins by far the biggest issue is that of being ripped off, being ripped off is shit!

I bloody hate it when things like this happen. I had an idea about 12 months ago for an addition to my “Alert” series of programs (Affiliate Alert, Adsense Alert and away from internet marketing a couple more). The new one was an Alert for your website traffic (Analytics Alert), I’ve noticed over the years that all it can take is one mention somewhere online and your traffic can explode. The clever internet marketer can react to this temporary boost in traffic and alter any offers to suite their new visitor source. It’s fair to say that I’ve missed a lot of these opportunities, in fact one of the few I did catch was this one and because I did catch it early I managed to make a nice little earner out of it. So my new Alert program would send me an e-mail whenever traffic rose above a certain threshold for the day. Thanks to a few distractions (I’m writing an awesome 2D games engine) I’ve only got it about 80% complete when today as per usual I checked my Analytics account. There is a new feature called Intelligence in Beta that has popped up.
