Why is it that there are some things that I’ve setup that can just tick along nicely in the background making money day after day? They don’t require babysitting, nor effort other than the odd bit of content and they happily take care of themselves.
On the other hand there are other projects that no matter how I manage them turn into a cluster**** of support. Why oh why oh why? Things that I’ve written for myself, given away for free (out of the goodness of my heart) or next to free but yet still I have to face a regular bombardment of crappy e-mails. I don’t mean crappy because it’s people having a problem, I enjoy helping genuine people, I mean crappy because they are rude, obnoxious with absolutely no understanding of how to ask for help. Three again this morning, for something I’m giving away for FREE. They haven’t even bothered to read the FAQ or even try to use the program, instead preferring to spew crap in my direction. Worst of all 2 of them are running their own businesses and want to use my free stuff to save them money. You’d THINK that being polite in that situation would go without saying? Not a chance.
There are people who will tell you that having your own products to sell is where it’s at. To them I laugh. I’d rather take a cut as an affiliate without having to deal with the crappy e-mails any day of the week. I can’t wait for the day when I can do away with having my own products.

I totally understand what you mean – a colleague and I use to have a product (CMS application) and we had no end of support issues from one particular client that used to drive me mad!

I understand the feeling Paul. Sometimes people just don’t appreciate somebody else effort to help. I am a reader of your free $100+ a day adsense tip and I found it to be very useful especially for a beginner (But requires some hard work to get it running). Some people are sincere in helping and I think you are one of them.
There are some type of people that seems to want to help but actually have some hidden agenda. Most of the time their trick is about to add you as contact and keep sending ‘affiliate email’ about products to help people to make money when the reality is that they actually siphoning money out of our pocket.
Keep up the good work Paul.
Thanks & God Bless
