Why is it that there are some things that I’ve setup that can just tick along nicely in the background making money day after day? They don’t require babysitting, nor effort other than the odd bit of content and they happily take care of themselves.
If you’re like me then anything more than the very basics with Photoshop goes right over your head! There have been plenty of times where I’ve thought of an effect for sprucing up an image only to fall drastically short in the ability stakes. Layers, filters, effects, I am officially hopeless. I’ve just had another of these moments, rather than being out partying on a Saturday night like what was supposed to be happening I’m sat at home feeling rough as old shite. I decided to use the time to add a few images to some content pages and I needed a reflection. Sounds easy, reflections are a staple effect online, how hard can it be? Fed up I gave up and hunted around for an alternative to Photoshop. For all us Photoshop non users I’ve found the answer!
You’re going to be hearing a lot about Atomic Blogging, it’s inevitable when somebody well connected updates one of their products. The problem is that everybody and their dog will be interested in promoting this product because of the affiliate commissions that are available (about $30 on a $47 sale through ClickBank, this post will have affiliate links in it), it’s going to be hard to get the real low down on what Atomic Blogging 3 is like. As part of my commitment to reinvesting more of my earnings back into the business I spent a little while trying to find a niche that would generate decent affiliate money from paid traffic. Seeing as how I’m going to be spending a good amount of money on this I figured it would be best to compete in a market that has plenty of high conversion traffic. I hate the idea of dominating a niche with almost no traffic and historically low conversions, better to have a tiny chunk of a very big pie if I’m going to be learning as I do it. With everything I read one market seemed to jump out more than any other and that was online dating. Affiliate revenue from online dating websites can be big money, anything up to and over $60. The trouble is it’s hugely competitive and getting the traffic at an affordable level could be expensive. But I’m in this to learn as well as make money so why not target a niche that is as competitive as internet marketing gets? I’m guaranteed quick results one way or another. If I can crack this and make a profit then other markets should be a piece of cake.
